Coffee Snap Privacy Policy

Coffee Snap is a personal coffee journal for iPhone. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: everything you record stays on your device. Coffee Snap does not collect, upload, sell or share your data.

What Coffee Snap stores

When you log a coffee, the app saves what you enter: date and time, coffee type, an optional label, size, rating, price and currency, shop name, caffeine, sugar, notes, and a favorite mark. If you add a photo, the app stores the original photo and the sticker it makes from it.

All of this is stored only on your iPhone, in Coffee Snap's own storage area. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Coffee Snap has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers.

What Coffee Snap does not do

• It does not collect analytics, usage statistics or crash reports through third-party services.
• It does not use advertising or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
• It does not read your contacts, location, calendar or health data.
• It does not access your photo library beyond the photos you explicitly pick.

Permissions the app may ask for

• Camera – only when you tap Take Photo, to photograph your coffee. Photos are saved inside the app on your device.
• Photos (choose a photo) – when you tap Choose from Photos, iOS shows a picker and Coffee Snap receives only the photo you select. It cannot see the rest of your library.
• Photos (add only) – only when you tap Save Image on a Monthly Recap, so the app can add that one image to your library. Coffee Snap cannot read, edit or delete anything in your library.

You can change any of these permissions later in the iOS Settings app. Denying them does not stop you from logging coffees without photos.

Sharing

If you use Share on a Monthly Recap, iOS shows the standard share sheet. What happens next is up to you and the app or service you choose. Coffee Snap itself does not post or send anything.

Device backups

Because your journal lives on your device, it is included in your normal iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your own iOS settings. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by Coffee Snap.

Deleting your data

• In Coffee Snap, open Settings → Delete All Data to remove every coffee and photo from the app.
• Deleting the app from your iPhone also removes all of its data.

There is nothing to delete on our side, because we never receive your data.

Children

Coffee Snap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The app collects no personal information from any user.

Your rights

Laws such as the GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data that companies hold about you. Coffee Snap holds none: we have no record of who you are or what you logged. Everything is under your control on your own device.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Coffee Snap starts doing something different, for example adding optional iCloud sync or in-app purchases, we will update this page and the effective date before that version is released.
